I’m happy to say that I’ll be holding another FREE taster session at Crickhowell Community Sports Centre this Wednesday 25th May at 7pm.
We’ll be in the Sports Hall, 7pm – 8pm, no need to bring anything except some determination and a bottle of water!

Welcome to the May Newsletter. This month has flown by! April saw a lot of exciting developments, and May looks set to be a great month too!

You can now purchase sessions and blocks online! To celebrate, we’re taking 10% off any purchase made online throughout May. To claim this offer, you simply need to enter the code MAYOFFER10 before checking out. Once you have purchased this you’ll receive a confirmation detailing how to book your free consultation. Simple as that! You can get started by clicking here.
I’m happy to say that, having attended courses on ‘Essentials of Strength Training’ and ‘MMA Conditioning Level 1’ at Primal Gym last month, I passed both. I’m excited to implement some of the new skills learnt in both personal training and group exercise sessions, especially the killer ‘Hollow Body‘ technique which has all ready seen some of you take your workouts up a notch!
We had fun this week running up Sugarloaf Mountain! We did it in 1hr 15mins, check out the facebook page for photos and videos… and watch this space to see if we can beat that time. In the meantime, if you haven’t been, I can highly recommend a walk (or run!) up there.

Courses & Unavailability
As you may know, I attended an ‘Essentials of Strength Training’ course at the beginning of the month – an excellent and exciting course from Primal Academy in Leeds. I am always looking to expand and update my knowledge where possible in order to deliver the best possible service to my clients. I will be attending another course (MMA Conditioning, Level 1) in Leeds from Friday 15th – Sunday 17th April, meaning that I will be unavailable for appointments from around 10am on Friday morning, with normal service resuming on Monday 18th April. I’m very much looking forward to implementing these new skills from what promises to be an awesome course.
As my business grows, I am investing in more and more equipment, the latest additions being a freestanding punch bag, a pair of paralet bars and a weighted vest! All the better to train you with..!
Calling all existing clients…
Please note that I will be away on a course from Friday 1st April until Sunday 3rd April, with normal service resuming on Monday 4th April, with some new skills to implement so watch out!
I will be able to take Friday morning bookings but only until around 10am and you’ll need to book these now in order to secure them.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Happy Saint David’s Day & welcome to the first proper newsletter! Each month I’ll be looking to fill you in on what’s been going on, what’s in store for the upcoming month and all kinds of offers we’ve got going on. If there’s anything else you’d like to see then just let me know.

First things first, this month’s offer has landed. If you’re an existing client and you refer a friend you will get a FREE session when they book a 6 or 12 week program. Not only that, but your friend will also get 10% off their block booking.
This offer will run for March, expiring 1st April.
Since the completion of the website, I’ve taken a little time to get my face onto various social media sites. You can find my mug on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! Lots of fitness videos, photos and news going on as well as client progress and stories so keep up to date and don’t miss out. Plus there are cats. Lots of cats.
I’ve begun blogging about my fitness journey: what got me into fitness; how I got to where I am now and where I’d like to go in the future. Here’s a taster, click to read more if you like.
My first attempts at fitness were purely vanity driven. I was a 17 year old watching Kung Fu movies and Dragonball which just made me want to train. My Fitness Journey Part #1
My first attempts at fitness were purely vanity driven. I was a 17 year old watching Kung Fu movies and Dragonball which just made me want to train. Being skinny and feeling unnoticed, I wanted to “get big” which I was sure would solve my plethora of confidence issues. I joined the Hilton gym in Cardiff with my best friend and set about lifting weights – poorly – reading articles from Men’s Health and training chest and biceps every day, all on my diet consisting of of Jack Daniels and cheese. A few years of failed attempts and constant reading on exercise and nutrition yielded some small gains.
After moving to Roath, I happened upon a small neighbourhood gym there called Dave’s Gym run by a friendly but terrifying man. I could never quite work out whether he liked me, or anyone else in fact, but one look at this gym and I joined.
I started out doing the kickboxing classes and although I came home with bruises and feeling sore – and the feeling that I had ruined someones padwork workout by being totally useless – I loved it. The staff were friendly and motivating and the gym was amazing.
I still remember the warm-up runs up Penylan Hill followed by a punishing workout and the inventive ways of torturing people – such as saying the weights are getting claustrophobic, they need to get out and consequently making the class run up Penylan Hill with them.
I knew this is what I wanted to do for a living but I had no direction, no confidence and little knowledge. All I knew was I had caught the fitness bug.
Now that the website is up and running we have a sweet little deal for you.
